In this episode, Harm and Meg are sent to Lima, Peru to investigate the shooting of a Peruvian boy.  Lt. Parr is guarding the perimeter of the Embassy and shoots at an intruder climbing the embassy wall who he believes shot at him.  After he shoots him, he realizes that who he really shot was just a young boy.  The other guard on duty asks Lt. Parr where the boys gun is but Lt. Parr doesn't know where it is.

Meg and Harm arrive in Peru to be met at the airport by Gunnery Sergeant Granger.  Right off the bat, Meg and the Gunny don't get along.  People on the streets of Peru throw stones at the vehicle as it leaves the airport to return to the Embassy.  The boy is believed to be Shining Star, the local terrorist group in Peru.  Meg believes that Gunny has his men so fired up they will shoot at anything.  The Ambassador receives a letter stating that Lt. Parr is to be turned over to the Peruvian Government and if he isn't then there will be trouble.

A little old lady leaves a package at the gate which turns out to be a bomb that explodes.  The boy is finally identified and Harm and a translator go to visit the family.  The boy's sister answers for the mother.  Harm asks if he was involved with the shining star and they both say no.  The boy's mother wants to know the name of the man who shot her son.  Harm says he can't tell her that information.  The boy's mother says it was Parr.  Harm wants to know how she knew that when the mother and the daughter start yelling at each other.  Harm asks the translator what was said and he tells him he will tell him in the car.  Turns out that the sister is pregnant and claiming the father of the unborn child is Lt. Parr.

Lt. Parr goes missing after Meg tells him that he can't go see the boy's family to extend his apologies.  Harm and some other men go looking for Lt. Parr, who they find in a church with the boy's sister, Tiena, who are trying to escape the Shining Star, who are trying to kill them.  The ambassador gives Tiena sanctuary in the Embassy because she is pregnant by an American and is imminent danger.

The next day while driving the ambassador to a hospital dedication the shining star attack the motorcade.  Blowing up the first car and seriously damaging the second one.  Gunny is killed while trying to fight off the Shining star.  Meg kills an old woman who pulls a gun on Harm.  The old woman is the boy and Tiena's mother.  She is Shining star and so is Tiena.  Harm and Meg rush back to the Embassy and radio Parr to let him know that Tiena is Shining Star as well and is going to kill the Ambassador.  They arrive to find that Lt. Parr has shot Tiena, who was not really pregnant, only pretending to be to gain access to the embassy.

This was one of my favorite episodes with Meg in it.

It was nice to see John Wesley Shipp, whom I had enjoyed watching in The Flash. Now there's a man with muscles.

This was an episode with a lot of predictable facets. Interesting, but predictable, to see Meg in conflict with the Gunney, but Harm in a relaxed and very professional relationship with the same guy. "I don't get to appeal" is very true, and should be kept in mind at all times. The Ambassador alternately yelling and cooing and wanting a purple heart - this too is fairly formula. As is Harm and Meg's little bit of flirting. Come on, you two can do better than that.

When all's said and done, it's the eyes that got the special treat of seeing our winsome twosome in their dress whites, fighting the bad guys.
