In this episode, Harm is assigned to defend Lt. Rivers again.  This time for assault of a politician for claiming he was/is a Navy Seal.  Lt.  Rivers also is trying to uncover an assassin and so in the hopes he can capture him, he hires him to kill Harm.  Oh oh. LOL The assassin while Harm is out running with Lt. Rivers takes a shot at him and misses.

Lt. Rivers decides he wants to be his own attorney for this trial but Harm only allows it to a certain point so it is decided they will be co-attorneys I guess.  I don't understand why Rivers thinks he can be a better lawyer than Harm but oh well.  Mac is the prosecutor on this case and when Brumby finds out when she calls him in Australia, he is not too happy when she can't meet him halfway because Harm and Mac are trying a case.  He starts to show his jealousy again towards Harm which I don't really get.  I understand why Harm is jealous of him but not the other way around.

Meanwhile the Admiral is contemplating leaving JAG to take an offer that he has been given to become a judge.  He speaks with Bud about it, who helps him prepare for the interviews but in the end decides not to take the job and stay at JAG.

During the trial, Harm receives a phone call from a supposed sheriff about the assassin and he goes out with the sheriff to a deserted cabin but he then realizes the sheriff is not a sheriff but the actual assassin and he kills him.  He arrives back to the trial just to find out that the adjournment he thought he had requested didn't happen but instead Lt. Rivers gave the closing statement and he was found guilty and is sentenced to give up a days pay for the assault.

Montel Williams reprises his role and Lt. Curtis Rivers, a Navy Seal. Lt. Rivers strikes Bill Layton, a congressional nominee who also says he was a Navy Seal. This put him up for a court-martial in which Harm defends him. While trying to defend Rivers, Harm is targeted by an assasin that Rivers is trying to draw out. Rivers is going to pay this assasin $10, 000 to kill Harm.

"SHOULD I BE INSULTED?" Harm asks when he finds out.

The Admiral puts Mac as prosecuting attorney. Before she goes out to San Diego for trial, she tries to get Layton to settle out of court. He and his assistant disagree to it and they go to trial.

Meanwhile, the Admiral is being looked at as a candidate for a Distric Judge. When he asks Bud about it, Bud says

"ITS NOT WHETHER YOU'LL BE GOOD FOR THE JOB, SIR, BECAUSE YOU WILL, BUT WILL THE JOB BE GOOD FOR YOU? THESE JUDGES SIT ON THEIR SIXES ALL DAY AND SOME OF THEM HAVE BEEN IN BIG LAW FIRMS. SIR, YOU'RE A NAVY SEAL."

The Admiral considers what he says and gets Bud to help him prepare for the interview.

Rivers wants to represent himself and have the "washed up" Navy pilot sit second chair. Harm reluctantly agrees to let him do the talking only when Harm thinks it would be okay.

While their out jogging, the assasin takes shots at Harm. He misses, but they see the assasin on a blue and white motorcycle. When Mac finds out, she relays her worries to him, but he tells her not to worry it was just a random thing.

Rivers delivers his opening statement in an impassioned speech that has Mac sitting up and listening intently.

During a break in trial, Mic calls Mac. He tells her he misses her and asks her to meet him in Hawaii, half way between Australia and California. She tells him she can't; that she and Harm are on a case.

"OH, HARM'S WITH YOU?" He sounds so disappointed and jealous.
"HARM'S AGAINST ME, MIC. YOU'RE WITH ME." (I squealed at that statement. As you can tell I'm a big Mic/Mac fan)
"I LOVE YOU, SARA."
"ME TOO, MIC."

While heading back to his quarters, Harm gets a phone call from a local sheriff about the whereabouts of the assasin. He tells Mac to get a continuance and that he'll be back by the next day. Rivers objected to the continuance that Mac asked for and they went ahead with questioning.

Rivers questioned Layton about his days in Vietnam. When Layton told them about a rescue that got him the Navy Cross Rivers showed him a internet article about the the same rescue only it happened to a different man. Mac listened curiously to the questioning. Layton admitted he didn't make the rescue.

While this is going on, Harm and the sheriff are out at a cabin where the assasin is. As they're preparing to raid the cabin, Harm realizes through a slip of the tongue that the sheriff is the assasin. In a brief cat and mouse game, Harm kills the sheriff.

As the verdict is being read, Harm slips in beside Rivers. The verdict is guilty for assault, but he only has to forfeit one days pay.

The Admiral, meanwhile, turns down the reccommendation for District Court Judge when he finds out they want him to be a 'teamplayer' and not a straight arrow judge. He walks out of his office after the meeting and looks around at his people working. Harm and Mac come out of the elevator and stop to talk to him.

"I HEARD THE NEWS, ADMIRAL. I'M GOING TO MISS YOU." Harm tells him.
"WHY? ARE YOU LEAVING US AGAIN, COMMANDER?" He smiles at them and walks off.
