A winter storm, a missing SEAL, slips of
the tongue, a golden heart and a dog are key points in this episode based
on a true story.
Dana Cohen wrote this script. Radio and television ads call it the most
adventurous JAG yet. As most viewers know by now, Harm and AJ's storyline
is based on a real life occurrence.
Poor Admiral! He was ejected over the GW National Forest after loosening
his safety belt to flatulate. That's how the real life story happened and
they went right along with it. I did think it was funny that of all the
things the Admiral found in his survival kit, he found a condom. Hey, it
helped him get water to drink.
Harm went against orders to look for the Admiral and he checked in with
Mac until his cell phone went out. Mac was trying to keep it away from the
JAG team without much luck. By the time, she was ready to tell everyone
what happened, they all knew. It turns out Mac told Coates, who told Tiner,
who told Harriet, who told Bud. The only one that didn't know was
Meredith.
Bud wasn't having a good day either. It turns out the PO he was defending
lost them the case when a slip of the tongue made him guilty in his
voyeurism case.
While the Admiral is struggling to survive, he has visions of him and
Meredith in his house talking in the past tense about the accident.
Meredith helps keep him on the right path and he uses her Valentine's
present to keep warm. Harm keeps looking for the Admiral and finds both
his camps minutes after the Admiral has already left them. He gets upset
because the Admiral isn't staying in one place.
While at his last campsite, the Admiral meets a female dog who comes to
warm herself by his fire. What a pair they made. In the end, the dog
proved to be a lifesaver because she led the Admiral to a diner. It was
Harm who found him in the diner sometime later after going in to start a
search party.
In a great scene at the hospital, the Admiral professes his love for
Meredith using the inscription from her Valentine's day present. He then
tells her that its not just the two of them anymore and he shows her the
dog which Harm is holding on a leash. Who says a dog isn't a man's best
friend?
