King of the Greenie Board, September 21, 1999

This episode starts off with Harm flying to check out a unidentified fishing ship.  While flying down to check it out, a bird gets caught in Harm's engine, making a funny noise.  Harm is forced to shut an engine down and is having trouble with the plane.  His Rio, Skates tells him that things just got worse, they are now losing fuel at a fast rate.   Harm calls for the flying gas plane to come give him fuel.  But they are running low on fuel and only have enough for the one plane that is already fueling up.  The pilot Buxton moves away from the fueling plane and lets Pappy have at it.  Pappy we see is Harms call sign.  Harm tells him not to wait for him if he is low on fuel.   Back on the carrier, we can see that there is some bad tension between Buxton and Harm.  Buxton is cracking jokes about Harm etc.  

At JAG Headquarters, we see Harriet and Bud come in with Baby AJ.  Everyone is cooing over the baby especially Mac and the Admiral.  The Admiral asks Harriet to find him a file because Tiner is unable to locate it.  Seems that JAG really misses Harriet.  Harriet also congratulates Mac on her promotion to Colonel.

Mac and Mic are opposing attorneys in a case where Mic's client is accused of getting drunk and the next day causing a forest fire with the weapon he was using.  Mac is convinced she will win and challenges Mic to a bet, the losing attorney buys the winner dinner.

The Admiral and Bud are viewing a news report and Bud brings up Harm and that he is lucky, he is doing what he loves and not having to deal with a bunch of paperwork, etc.  The Admiral says he doesn't think about Harm and gives Bud one of those shut up looks.

Harm is now in his quarters working on mounds of paperwork that are all ongoing cases he is working on.  The CAG comes in and gives him another case to work that is top priority.  Buxton, the pilot whom Harm does not get along with is suing his plane mechanic for not securing a pod on his plane that when it dropped almost made him crash.  Buxton and Harm are flying another mission and Buxton goes after a Mig after Harm tells him not too because Migs fly in pairs.  Of course the second Mig shows up and Harm is forced to come and save Buxton's butt.  The CAG back at the carrier when they get back in, lets Buxton have it and Harm tries to defend him.  Harm finally has had enough of Buxton and says he is self-centered.  Buxton wants know why if he thought that, did he defend him to the CAG.  Because Harm says he reminds him of himself when he first started flying.

There is a Russian Officer staying on board the Carrier and he wants to know all about when Buxton saved Harms life with the gas incident.  Harm begs off saying he has a lot of reading to do.

Harm after investigating has decided that there the mechanic was not fully at fault, that it was also Buxton's fault so there wont be anything to come out of it.  Buxton is mad and confronts Harm and wants to know why he let him off.  Harm says because it is Buxton's fault as well.  Buxton storms off and has an argument with his Rio about Harm being better than him and that he will show everyone that he is better than Harm.

Back in Court with Mac and Mic, Mac is winning the case until she calls Gunnery Sergeant Victor Galindez onto the stand who is a military weapons expert who is leaving the military for a job at the company who makes the weapon in question.  He is supposed to testify it was not the weapons fault but that of Mic's defendant.  But he doesn't say that at all, what he says is that there was a malfunction in the equipment and that it was not the defendants fault.  Mac loses the case but offers Gunny a job at JAG. 

The Admiral is interviewing the Gunny with Mac in the room.  Seems Gunny was a boxer and got a broken nose.  The Admiral wants to know if that is any indication of his skills as a boxer that he got a broken nose.  Gunny says no he held his own especially against Navy Seals.  He and the Admiral seem to stand off against each other, sizing the other one up.

Harm and Buxton go to fly another mission to scare off a Lear Jet who is flying in the no fly zone and is probably a spy plane and to also photograph some grave sites.  Skates and Harm take the Lear Jet while Buxton and his Rio go to take the photos.  Harm gets into the Lear's way and does a fuel drop onto him making him turn tail and run.   He goes to head towards Buxton when Buxton sees some armored vehicles heading for Refugees. Harm tells him to stand off if he hasn't been shot at.  Buxton doesn't listen and fires upon the vehicles making it explode.  They head back to the ship.  The Russian who is on board of the ship and the CAG ask Buxton if he fired upon vehicles while in the air and Buxton confirms this.  The CAG is really mad because the Serbs Buxton thought they were, weren't Serbs but Russian Peacekeepers and he killed three of their top officers.  Buxton now looks at Harm for support.
