Harm flies for the first time at night since his surgery.  He has no trouble landing now at night.  He goes to Headquarters with a present for baby AJ.  He gives it to Mac because the admiral wants to speak with him.  The Admiral says he can transfer, he tries to change his mind and says he has till the end of the week to make up his mind on whether or not he wants to transfer.

Harm gets new info on Annie's killer, Charlie.  He knows he is looking for Darlene and decides they need to move her somewhere else safe the next day where he can't get to her.  He has been killing other people.  She doesn't want to give him any affection.

Back at Headquarters, Skates comes in and gives Harm some training manuals cause she heard about the transfer.  Jordon comes in and sees the manuals and tells Harm why Darlene is uncomfortable around him.  Baby AJ's christening is going on and Harm and Mac are the godparents.  While the christening is happening, Charlie kills the people guarding Darlene and kidnaps her.

He takes her to an old shipyard and Harm goes after them.   He comes into the ship with a gun pointed at Charlie.  He tells Darlene to run.  Harm and Charlie fight and he shoots him.

An ambulance comes to take Darlene to the hospital to be checked out.  The police want Harms statement but he needs to go with Darlene because she wants him with her in the ambulance.

Harm decides that he is going to leave JAG and return to flying.  Bud tells him he will be missed.

Harm and Mac have a tearful goodbye in his office where you know they want to say things to each other but they don't. He walks to the elevator and takes one last look at all his friends at JAG.

This is a very emotional episode dealing with not only Harm's decision to go back to flying, but Mac giving Chloe up to her father and Harm dealing with Annie's (from NOBODY'S CHILD) murderer.

Emotions run high as the Admiral tries to persuade Harm to stay at JAG to no avail, Jordan tries to help Darlin and Harm come to grips with what happened to Annie, and Mac gives Chloe to her father.

In a bright spot in this episode, Baby AJ's christening takes place with his parents, godparents, and namesake in attendance. This is showing the viewers that even though bad things are happening all around there is something good in each day.

Mac says an emotional farewell to Chloe. When the little girl leaves, Mac goes into the kitchen to find something chocolate to eat (Chocolate is always a good thing to have around when you're sad). The Admiral comes in and sees that she's upset.

"IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO?" He asks.
"NO, SIR, YOU'RE ONE OF THEM." She tells him and then grabs the two chocolate cakes out of his hand and walks off.

Harm is upset when he and Jordan go to visit Darlin because she won't talk to him or hug him. She'll only talk to Jordan or hug Jordan. Jordan tells him that it's because Darlin feels vulnerable around him.

Charlie is a very angry, emotionally disturbed man who has killed several people in his search for Darlin. He kidnaps Darlin and takes her to a ship that's docked at the shipyard. Harm follows, against advice from the police detective that worked on Annie's murder case.

Harm enters the room they are in with a gun aimed at Charlie. Darlin turns around and smiles.

"HARM!" Charlie and Harm fight and Harm yells at Darlin to run. Darlin obeys Harm. Charlie grabs an axe and Harm has his gun. Then the camera shows a shot of boat and you hear a scream and gunshot. DID HARM SHOOT CHARLIE IN SELF DEFENSE? I don't think so. I think he was so angry at what Charlie did to Annie and was going to do to Darlin that all that rage came out in his trigger finger.

The cops show up and take Darlin in ambulance. Harm gives her the stuffed parrot she carries around with her and she hugs him. Was that tears we saw in Harm's eyes?

"WILL YOU GO WITH ME?" That's the first time, Darlin had reached out to Harm. The detective told him she needed his statement. He told her to wait and then he went with Darlin in the ambulance.

The next scene is a very emotional scene for all the characters. Bud hugs Harm and tells him he'll be missed. I think the hug came out of left field for Harm. Mic was outside of Harm's office and mentioned how he'll get Harm's office. I guess that's his way of saying goodbye. He walks off and Harm comes into his office Then comes the really emotional part. Mac's sitting in Harm's chair when he walks in.
She gets up and they both stand by the window.

"DID YOU THINK YOU COULD GET AWAY WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE?"
"WHY GOODBYE AND NOT GOOD LUCK?"
"DIDN'T I SAY THAT TO YOU WHEN I WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO LEAVE JAG?"
"YES, YOU DID."
"YOU SAID YOU WERE HAPPY FOR ME."
"THAT'S DIFFERENT. YOU WERE IN LOVE."
"AND YOU'RE NOT?"
Harm averts his gaze. "WHAT DOES LOVE HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?"
"HEY!" Harm wipes a tear from Mac's face.
"WANT ME TO WATER YOUR PLANTS FOR YOU?" Mac's trying to hold on to any part of him. I think it's really sweet.
"I DON'T HAVE ANY PLANTS."
"I HAVE SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO SAY TO YOU, BUT I CAN'T FIND THE WORDS."
"I KNOW." They both hug and it switches to Mac.
". . .WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE CRYING?" She asks. The camera then switches to Harm who has tears in his eyes.
He packs up his stuff and puts a model of Sara (his yellow bi-plane) on top of the box and enters the elevator. Before the doors close, he looks out at everyone. Some nod at him and some just stare at him. The doors close to end season four.
