I loved this episode. I think this will rank as one of my favourite, if not all time favourite episodes. I certainly hope that TPTB will offer other contenders for the title. It's packed with humour; the story itself is just a minor vehicle. The real story is how Harm makes it through a day and night at the hospital, juggling terrorists, a doddering old man, and a pregnant woman, with wonderful comic results.

Harm's scenes with the pregnant woman, whose name we never learn, are simply priceless. After this, no one can have the least doubt that DJE can do comedy, and do it well. We've had glimpses of his faultless sense of timing - and comedy is timing - in many of the humorous sequences with Bud, JAG's designated funnyman. Here we are treated to the whole nine yards, and without Bud. This guy is good.

I have so many favourite scenes. Here are a couple: the scene where poor Harm has to check the mother-to-be for dilation, and we see the antenna on the cell phone wiggling in embarrassment and fascination as he peers at her, then his chat with the obstetrician, complete with her indignant interruptions; Harm on the phone to the bomb disposal expert 'I won't touch that wire ... again!'. Hilarious.

This is an odd episode in that only Harm and Mac are featured from the regular cast. Bud is mentioned, but only in passing. Honestly, I did not miss the other members of the cast.

It's rather cute, TPTB are finally allowing ordinary females who come into contact with Harm to show that they are attracted to him. The result, we have the doctor in emergency making a mild pass at him.

Mac gets a real chance to flex her Marine muscles. Nice bit of thinking and kicking there. The heart surgeon, of course, was our very easily intimidated Under Secretary Baird from Season One (Smoked and The Prisoner).

And what do you know, Mac speaks Farsi, legacy of her Persian heritage. Interesting.

All in all, a terrific episode.
