The episode starts with Harm and Bud involved in the making of the recruitment commercial.  Harm stops it when he says he can't do it.  The Admiral and Harm go into his office where Mac is waiting for them.  The Admiral gives them an assignment to help with a Mock trial at a naval academy.  The Admiral is friends with the headmaster whatever you call him LOL, and so Mac will sit second chair for the defense and Harm will sit second chair for the prosecution.  The case they are trying is ten years old.  It is the prosecution of Gunners Mate Reardon who is accused of blowing up a gun and causing the deaths of 29 people.  I think Harm is very thankful for this assignment because it gets him out of filming the commercial or so he thinks at the time :)

It seems that the Gunners Mate who is accused of the murders was not very well liked.  He was picked and repeatedly beat on by others on the ship.  He didn't socialize with the people on board it seems.  Though he had a girlfriend off the ship. The kid who is being him in the mock trial is also not liked in the academy by his classmates except for one girl who is being his attorney in the mock trial.  The guy who is the prosecutor also seems to like this girl and definitely doesn't like him very much.  They all decide to find witnesses to the actual event even though the Admiral tells Harm and Mac to leave it alone.  Bud and the Gunny also get in with the trial, trying to track down the one person who knows what actually happened that day.  Seems Reardon and this guy fought over Reardon's girlfriend who was pregnant.  The gun blowing up was not Reardon's fault at all and Reardon is found not guilty of all charges.

While this trial is going on, I believe the Admiral's speech to the director could have been the commercial material they were looking for.  I thought it was very excellent but I don't think the director thought so.  Because the Admiral told Harm and Mac not to continue with the investigation but only help with the mock trial, he does ask why they continued with their investigation.  I love when Harm and Mac say it wasn't there investigation to kill, they were only sitting second chair.  I also love when the Admiral told Harm that he is to meet with the director of the commercials at the Washington Monument.  See Harm didn't get out of making the commercial at all. LOL

Webster defines breech as a loaded end of a gun. That's a perfect title for the show because that explains exactly what Harm and Mac got into in this episode.

First let's start out with the beginning. Harm is harshly interrogating a witness who turns out to be Bud. Cindy Ambuehl plays the neurotic director of an imfomercial on the NAVY JAG CORPS. When Harm says he can't do this, the Admiral gives him advice since he worked on FIELD OF GOLD. To which Harm speaks before he thinks and replies "But, sir, you were fired from FIELD OF GOLD." Stupid, Harm. It's funny to hear him apologize sincerely as the Admiral walks into his office. That's when the Admiral gives he and Mac the prep school case.

For them, they think this is going to be a piece of cake. After all, they taught Bud everything he knows. Then problems arise and a new witness is found. Did the two lawyers remind you of a young Harm and Mac? The boy was eager and full of gusto and the girl was confident and bright.

What did you think of the scene in front of the prep school with the two boys who liked the same girl? It reminded me of Mic/Harm/Mac triangle. Then there was Mac and the girl in the gym hitting the heavyweight bag. The girl replies 'You're so together, Colonel'. You can see the amusement in Mac's eyes. If only the girl knew about Mac's alcoholism, her affair, killing her husband, losing her boyfriend to her stalker and being in love with two men not to mention being a 'big' sister to a pre-teen girl who knows more about Mac then Mac does. The look Mac gives the cadet is like 'If you only knew.'

Getting back to JAG headquarters, we find Admiral Chegwidden giving a impassioned speech about the Navy. He talks about being loyal and courageous. Perfect for an imformercial. It's so great that he has everyone in the courtroom quiet and then Cindy Ambuehl's partner discards it like yesterday's trash. I have never liked the Admiral more than I did at that moment. Chuck Carrington, Nanci Chambers and Randy Vasquez just add to the enjoyment of that part of the show.

Randy Vasquez (Galindez) was adorable with Bud when he talked about bad cop/good cop. He knew that there was no way on earth Bud could be a bad guy.

When the Admiral shows up and adds his two cents worth in to the trial at the prep school you can tell he's also annoyed by the fact that he ordered Mac and Harm to put it to rest in which they didn't listen (as usual), but that's okay because A.J. got back at Harm perfectly. (Wait to the end).

The man was proved innocent and the boy that portrayed the guilty party seemed as relieved as if he were really being put on trial.

Now to get to the end. Harm looked totally confused when the Admiral told him to meet Cindy Ambuehl's character at the Washington Monument. This is the Admiral's way of punishing Harm for not listening, but also to get the woman off his case. He knows that Harm's life is more exciting than any of the JAG officers. I mean he joined the NAVY as a Tomcat pilot, crashed his plane and left only to become a lawyer, shoot off an HNK in court, go to Russia illegally to find his father, go back as a Tomcat pilot, and then come back as a JAG lawyer. Wow! No wonder the Admiral got Harm to do the informercial.

The freeze frame at the end of the show was perfect. It showed a totally blown away Harm alone in the courtroom with an expression on his face that I'm sure said "He got me again."

All in all, this was a pretty good episode.
