This episode begins with a recap of what happened in the previous episode up to the point where Harm and Bud are trying to find out if Mac really is topless.   They go over to talk to Mac and Mic and of course we still cant figure out if Mac is topless or not because it appears she is because we don't see any bikini straps and she has a magazine over her but that really doesn't mean anything :)

Harm cant seem to get out of the trance he is in and Mac figures out that he is trying to figure out if she is topless and starts to laugh.  Mic and Harm start arguing about the case and Bud suggests they go just as Mic tells them not to forget their wigs for Court.  Mac asks him if he wants to go to dinner and he tells her he will call.  So Harm and Bud head to a shop where they can get the appropriate wigs that are required for court.  Before they get to the shop, they see Webb again.   Harm needs one but Bud doesn't which really is a good thing because the wig doesn't fit his head :)

Harm and Mac are on a ferry heading to dinner and he questions her about going topless.  She tells him he is a prude and he says you never went topless for me.   She wants to know if that is a request and Harm being Harm changes the subject to something about drawing eternity in lights on a bridge they are near which leads Mac to ask if that is how long they have to wait.  Harm doesn't really want to talk about it but she pushes it to the point where Harm says they cant change who they are and that he is only this way with her and he calls her by her first name.  They drop the subject and head off to where the murder took place some 28 years ago and find out that the story Kevin told Harm is not possible.

Ok other than the scene on the ferry with Mac and Harm, I think my other very favorite part is when Harm, Mac, Bud and Mic are all outside of the courtroom and Mic and Harm are about to hit each other at the same time and Bud steps between them and takes the brunt of their punches to the point where he has to have his jaw wired shut.  Which leads the Admiral to come to Australia really mad and give them both a non judicial punishment where he locks them both in a shed and tells them not to come out until they have inflicted the same amount of pain on each other that they have on Bud.  Then when they go back into the court, the judge looks at them and wants to know if they were in an accident.  I thought this whole scene was terrifically acted and so funny.

Kevin Lee is found not guilty because his wife apparently is having an affair and is setting him up to look guilty where she and her "lover" can have the money and everything else while Kevin sits in Jail.  That night Mic and Mac are on the same ferry that Harm and Mac were on and he asks her to marry him and gives her a ring, she says she cant say yes yet and he tells her to think about it but in the meantime to wear his ring on her right hand and then they kiss.  While on the ferry, they see Kevin Lee, his wife and her supposed "lover" out on their boat having a grand ole time, laughing the whole time probably because they just got away with murder and know that he will probably get off on the desertion charge.  Well boy did he have a surprise in hand when he got to the airport and realized that he will be facing the maximum sentence for desertion because everyone knows that he tried to play them for a fool.  The only thing in this episode that bugged me is that we never really got to see why Webb was in Australia.  He came to the airport and thanked Bud and Harm for not blowing his cover but never told anyone what he was actually there for.  The Admiral sees the ring on Mac's finger and wants to know if congratulations are in order and Mac tells them they are not engaged and Brumby says not yet.   Harm just looks like someone took the person who matters the most to him away but maybe that is just wishful thinking on my part.  I do love how the Admiral pretty much put hints out throughout the show showing that he knows that Harm is in love with Mac but never really came out and said it.

Harm and Bud walk over to meet Mac and Mic. Mac has a magazine covering her and while Harm and Mic are arguing about Mic seeing the wife of Lee Harm is searching for some sign that Mac is topless. She notices and gives him an exasperated look. When Mac finally gets tired of them arguing she speaks up.

"Could you save it for court. I'm trying to defrost here."
"Don't overexpose yourself. You'll burn." Harm tells her bitterly.
"Don't worry, mate, I rubbed sunblock all over her." Mic jokes with him. Mac shoots him a dirty look.
"How about we have dinner tomorrow night?" Mac suggest.
"I'll call." Harm tells her.

"Don't forget your wig, Commander?"
"Wig?" Harm looks back at him with a "Are you serious?" look.
As they are going through the arcade, Harm and Bud see Webb for the second time speaking French to a very beautiful woman (the first time was in BOOMERANG 1). The salesman fits Harm with a wig that's perfect for him, but when he sees Bud trying on wigs, Bud makes the comment that they'll have to find a bigger horse.

That night Mac and Harm are on the ferry going to Luna Park for dinner. He tells her about seeing Webb with the woman. As they're looking out at the ocean, Harm makes the comment about Mac going topless on Manly beach.
"You thought I was topless?"
"You weren't?"
"Harmon Rabb, you are such a prude."
"You never went topless for me?"
"Is that a request?" Mac says seriously. Harm changes the subject to New Years Eve when they wrote Eternity on the beam above them.
"Is that how long we're going to wait?"
"Mac?"
"We're not in Washington. We're not even on the same continent."
"Location doesn't change who we are."
"Most men would disagree with you."
"I know. I disagree with myself sometimes too."
"You just can't let go, can you?"
"Not yet."
Mac searches his eyes. "You're just this way with me, aren't you?"
"I suppose I should be flattered."
"Yeah. I'm only this way with you."
"You should. . .Sara."

They get off the ferry at Luna Park and Mac starts to walk up the ramp when she notices Harm walking off.
"This is where the murder happened?" Harm tells her when Mac asks what he's doing. You can see the disappointment on her face when he tells her that. She thought he wanted to go to dinner with her not to discuss the case. They reenact the murder and figure out that Lee was lying about Dunsworth falling on his knife. Mac figured out that they would have fallen in the water instead of on the dock.

The next day, Harm and Mic face off. The judge calls a recess for the rest of the day and they all leave together. As Lee is outside with Harm talking to the press, a friend of Dunsworth assaults Lee. Harm grabs the man and Mic grabs Lee. When they both let go, Mac and Bud instantly see what's going to happen. Mac runs down the stairs and Bud gets in between Harm and Mic just as they both let go of their fists. They both hit Bud and he falls to the ground.

The Admiral comes to Sydney ticked off. Mac interprets for Bud whose jaw had been wired shut. He says he'll testify that Harm and Mic were defending themselves and that it was an accident. The Admiral is so fed up with their actions that he uses his own brand of punishment.
"Commanders, are you willing to have a non-judicial form of punishment for your acts."
"Yes, sir." They both say in unison.
"Good. You were getting it anyway. Follow me."
"Yes, sir." The three of them leave.
"I always did like Yanks Seals." The Australian Admiral remarks as they leave.
He opens up a storage house. "Strip your blouses!' He orders.
"Yes, sir." They both take off their shirts.
"Now go in there and don't come out until you've exacted the same pain on each other as was done to Lieutenant Roberts."
"Yes, sir." They both enter the warehouse.

The next thing you know both are running into the Supreme court. The judge calls court to order and sees Harm.
"Commander, were you in an accident?"
The camera shows a battered Harm. "Yes, sir, but I am ready to begin."
Brumby stands up slowly. "The same accident, sir, and I am also ready to begin."
Brumby give his opening statement. After he's done, the Admiral leans over to Mac. "I give it an 8."
"8.5, sir. That 'young officer' was really good." She said referring to a part of his speech.
Next up is Harm. He gives an equally convincing opening statement..
"Tie." The Admiral says.
"I agree, sir." The court recesses and Mac, Bud and Harm go outside to talk. Harm reveals that he has two cracked ribs. Mac interprets for Bud when Bud tells Harm that he wishes he could be of more help. When Bud mentions that they were fighting over Mac, she stiffens up and leaves leaving Harm clueless about what Bud said. (Or so he wants you to think.)

Mic's next step is to put Jenny on the stand. Since she's not legally married to Lee because he's married to someone in the states the judge allows it. Mic has her reenact the murder using him as Dunsworth. When Mic proves that he couldn't have fallen on his knife she says he didn't.

Lee tells Harm that she's lying and Harm suggests that she's having an affair. They follow Jenny to The Rocks in Sydney and see her get into a boat called Uluru with a man. Harm takes the tape and uses in court. Jenny confesses that Ian landed on his own knife. Lee is exonerated and remanded into Bud's custody until the arrive home. Lee asks for one more night with Jenny and Harm allows it.

Mic, Mac, AJ, and Bud are standing around congratulating each other when Mac asks Mic to dinner. Mic agrees and they both leave.
"Well, you win some, you lose some." The Admiral said referring to Harm's winning the case and losing Mac.

That night, Mic and Mac are on the ferry. "I know you like me." Mic says.
"Of course I like you, Mic."
"I'm falling in love with you, Sara." Mac goes to say something and Mic silences her."For once in your life just listen. I've loved you since the moment I first laid eyes on you. I've never acted so foolishly or ached so hard in my heart in all my life." Mac starts to kiss him. "Let me finish please while I still have the strength. I know that getting you to try to fall in love with an ocher like me is a miracle, but I'm praying one will fall from the Southern Cross." He turns her around and gives her a ring.
"Oh, God, it's impossible, Mic."
"I know it won't be easy. Your career, mine, but I'm willing to make any sacrifice. Any, if you just be my wife."
Mac coos. "I need time to think."
"Absolutely." He waits a second. "Well."
"I need more time than that, Mic."
"All right. Just say you'll wear my ring. On the right hand and if you accept than you can change it over. . .or not."
Mac agrees and they kiss. As they're kissing, Mac sees the boat in the picture with Harold, Jenny and Lee all laughing. Mic puts it together that no one was having an affair and that Jenny used her cheating wife status to get Lee off of a murder wrap so that Harm would get him off of desertion.

The next morning, Mic walks Mac into Quantis. Webb meets Harm, Bud, and AJ. He thanks them for not blowing his cover and then gets on first class. Mic and Mac show up and they're all waiting for Lee to arrive. He does and Bud arrests him. Harm has the pleasure of telling him they know about the boat and that they are going to try him for desertion.
"Are congratulations in order, Colonel." The Admiral asks. Harm stares at Mac.
"It's on the right hand, sir."
"So I see."
"Friendship ring?" Harm asks hoping beyond hope that it is.
"I hope not, mate."
"Let's go, people." The Admiral and Harm walk to the plane.
"I love you, Sara Mackensie." Mic tells her before they get on.
"Oh, Mic." Mac kisses him.
"Never look back, Commander" The Admiral tells Harm as they're boarding the plane. Harm can't help it. He looks back. A look of sorrow is on his face.

In reviews of "Boomerang I & II", the reviewer called the Australian airline 'Quanits' which is absolute absurd and totally false.

It is in fact, QANTAS. "Queensland and Northern Territory Air Service", however it is now spelt Qantas (no capitals) because it obviously services more than the top end of Australia.
