You will need PSP 6 or 7 and the selections I made for you which
you can download here: Selections.
1. Open new image 400 x 500, transparent background.
2. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer base
3. Go to Selections Load from Disk, open base.sel and flood fill with white.
4. While selected, apply Inner Bevel with the following settings (you may
want to save these settings cause you will be using them later I saved them as
seal 2:
5. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer base details.
6. Go to Selections Load from Disk, open base details.sel and flood fill with
Color #C00000 or color of your choice.
7. Repeat step 4.
8. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer head.
9. Go to Selections Load from Disk, open head.sel and flood fill with Color
#404040. Deselect.
10. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer body.
11. Selections Load from Disk, open body.sel and flood fill with Color
#404040. Deselect.
12. Hide Layer 1, base and base details, and merge visible your head and body
layers. Rename your merged layer seal.
13. Now making sure your seal layer is the active layer, Selections: Select
all and then Selections: Float, then Selections: Invert. Using your retouch tool
set to the following settings, go around the edge of your seal smoothing the
rough edges:
Your seal should now look like this:
14. Make visible all of your layers now. Make sure the seal layer is your
active layer by clicking on it in your layers pallate.
15.Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer face lines.
16. Selections Load from Disk, open face lines.sel and flood fill with black.
TIP: If you have trouble flood filling the lines, zoom in once or twice on your
lines then try to flood fill your lines. Deselect.
17. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer body lines.
18. Selections Load from Disk, open body lines.sel and flood fill with black.
TIP: If you have trouble flood filling the lines, zoom in once or twice on your
lines then try to flood fill your lines. Deselect.
19. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer nose.
20. Selections Load from Disk, open nose.sel and flood fill with black.
21. While selected, apply Inner Bevel with the following settings:
22. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer eye.
23. Selections Load from Disk, open eye outline.sel and flood fill with
black. Deselect.
24. Selections Load from Disk, open outer eye.sel and flood fill with white.
Deselect.
25. Selections Load from Disk, open inner eye.sel and flood fill with black.
26. Repeat step 21.
27. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer mouth.
28. Selections Load from Disk, open mouth.sel and flood fill with Black.
Deselect.
29. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer ball.
30. Selections Load from Disk, open ball.sel and flood fill with white.
31. Repeat step 4.
32. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer ball details and flood fill with
Color #C00000 or color of your choice.
33. Repeat step 4.
34. Layers: New Rastor Layer, name the layer chin
35. Selections Load from Disk, open chin.sel and flood fill with black.
Deselect.
You are now finished. I also like the seal without the base. So its up to you
whether you want the base on it or not. I hope you liked this tutorial :) Please
